The person on the left, in this image, clearly depicts that why we are talking about Rahul Gandhi today. Born in 70s, educated in various famous schools and universities of the world, and contesting on his father's constituency Amethi, is all what I know about him. Google Maps says that it is '1 hour 9 mins' from Raebareily to Amethi, where Raebareily is Sonia Gandhi's constituency. These seats are considered very safe for Gandhi Family as they have been contesting here from past three to four decades.
Despite being second-ranked member of the Congress Working Committee, Rahul Gandhi has lost confidence of youths in the nation in the last few years. I remember that he visited Jabalpur quite a long time ago in an event 'Samvaad' in which he interacted with the college students in St. Aloysius. In those days he was considered as an national political hero and citizens of India were so keen to look at him as PM. At that time BJP also didn't had any one-on-one opponent ready for Rahul Gandhi. In those days Rahul used to deliver sophisticated speeches about youths and development. But then, later on, those discussions & speeches were never implemented. But still he had an clear image away from controversies.
The headline to this post refers to a 'substantial decay', which means an necessary decomposition. Rahul is always seen avoiding public debates and media interviews. We rarely see in him on News channels. His in-activeness during Anna's Movement, and then during Damini's Protests completely shattered his image in youths and common men. In those days, if he took a stand against the Police action on young students, no doubt he would have entered into the cloud on emotions of students.
But this did not happened. And thus a substantial decay was required for him.
We need not promises, we need execution. We need Security. We need Career Opportunities. We need development. We need leaders who care about us. Stop fooling youths, don't try to assassinate our dreams. This message is not targeted to Rahul Gandhi and Congress, it is targeted to each and every youth representative in this country. Be it Congress and NSUI, or BJP and ABVP or any other political group.
Do think! Jai Hind!!
